Hello!
Nick, Mahesh and Sharna will be leaving Hopster HQ behind today, to take part in the annual Children’s Media Conference in sunny Sheffield, the steel city.
We’re involved in a number of sessions this year, so if you are around, we’d love to see you!
Here’s our plan:
Weds 2 July
Nick is taking part in the International Exchange all day, speaking to content owners and producers from across the world.
Mahesh is in the Playful Learning session that afternoon, working with delegates to take existing IP and turning it into an educational game or app.
Thurs 3 July
Sharna is on the CMC advisory committee and is the executive producer of the Learning Landscape session where the stellar line up will be busting myths like “Teachers are afraid of technology, so they won’t use your work anyway.”
Later that afternoon, she is the exec on Achievement Unlocked, a session concerned with the importance of getting educational games right, and the best process to do that.
Friday 4 July
Sharna is the exec on Telling Tales: Paper to Pixel about the unstoppable rise of digital books and book apps in the morning.
That afternoon, she is producing Commissioner Conversations: Learning.
